Certification Matters

Always find out if your doctor is board certified.   Dr. Baughman is board certified. Specialty training is required prior to board certification in plastic surgery for six years. A plastic surgeon manages the repair, reconstruction or replacement of tissues defects of form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, craniomaxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk and external genitalia or cosmetic enhancement of these areas of the body. Cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is an essential part of plastic surgery. The plastic surgeon uses cosmetic surgical principles to both improve overall appearance and to optimize the outcome of reconstructive procedures.

Breast Surgery

Women may choose to reduce, augment, or lift their breasts through surgery in order to achieve a shape and volume that makes their clothes fit better.  Both silicone-filled implants, saline-filled implants and/or one’s own fat can be used augment volume.  Breasts can also be surgically reconstructed or to match the other side after cancer surgery. For men, breasts can be reduced.  Many safe and effective surgical options are available.

Body Contouring

Weight loss after pregnancy or through diet and exercise can often result in excess loss skin of the arms, torso, abdomen, buttock, and thighs.  Many surgical options are available to remove stubborn fat and excessive skin, while transferring fat to areas of need and tightening underlying abdominal muscles to order to achieve functional improvements and a body to match better fitting clothing. Surgery to address these issues include tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), body lift, thigh lift, buttock lift or combinations.

Facial Aging and Rejuvenation

Surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures are available to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.  Loose sagging skin and sun damage can make you look tired, mad, or angry.  Facial rejuvenation can restore your appearance to how you feel, energetic, youthful, and improve your competitiveness in the work environment.

Transgender surgery

We tailor gender affirming procedures to meet the individual goals and expectation of each gender diverse person.  Many people seeking gender affirmation surgery have already lived as his/her preferred gender for 12 months and undergone hormonal therapy. SKIN

A decline in skin texture and quality comes with age.  We take advantage of numerous advances in rejuvenation medicine to combat wrinkles, spider veins, scars, stretch marks, acne, and rosacea in order to give our patients healthier, younger-looking skin.  Some of the services we offer include Coolsculpting, fractional laser, injectables (botox/fillers), Kybella, laser acne treatment, laser hair removal, laser resurfacing, Latisse eyelash treatment, peels, facials, skin care.

Facial aging is often accompanied by loss in tissue extracellular matrix proteins and fat.  Temporary fillers, made of hyaluronic acid and other natural substances found in the body, can be used to plump lips, fill in deep wrinkles, and accentuate features of youth.

Depending on your skin type, dry, sensitive, or oily skin can keep you from looking your best.  Daily skin care products can prevent skin quality decline and maintain youthful skin appearance.  Our aesthetician can recommend products backed by rejuvenation medical science as well as offer regular facials, peels, laser, and med spa services to help you looking and feeling your best.
